Back in high school, a few friends got together, bought some skateboards, and had a blast. Then one day, they deciced to name their crew and Cynosure was born. We learned after awhile that are talents may not be good enough to go pro, but we wanted to give back to not just the skate community, but the whole community that we were brought up in and we was there for us our whole lives. That's when we decided to open up shop and be of service to current and future skaters.
Cynosure is defined as a person or thing that is the center of attention or admiration. So we wanted to be the center of the skate community in our area and be beacon of volunteer work to help the community abroad. We set up skate competitions for Pros and Amateurs, encouraging all to engage in these comps, Either as a competitor or volunteer. We also work with the city and local charities to support them with volunteers in any capacity. We know that skaters can get a bad rap from time to time, so we want to show that we aren't just a bunch of punks pushing wood, we are contributing members of the community.
We know that the deck you buy may be the same as a lot of other skaters out there, but you can customize your setup to make it truly yours!
